Frankie Rose Fabrics is an online fabric store that sells high-quality, eco-friendly apparel fabrics, sewing patterns, and notions to home sewists who make their own clothes. Job Description

The Fullfillment Assistant would be responsible primarily for filling orders 2-3 days per week, approximately 15-20 hours per week. Days and times are flexible once you are able to work independently.

Filling orders involves the following:

-Printing packing slips from Etsy and Shopify.

-Using Shipstation to create Pick Lists and ship domestic orders.

-Pulling fabric bolts and rolls from shelves and cutting fabric lengths accurately and neatly.

-Pulling printed sewing patterns from our inventory.

-Assembling notions for orders, including buttons, thread, snaps, needles, etc.

-Measuring remaining inventory and adjusting quantities in Shopify.

-Taking inventory of some part of the stock each week.

Requirements

The right candidate would meet the following criteria:

-Have significant experience sewing, preferably clothing.

-Have a good understanding of common apparel fabrics (i.e., denim vs. jersey vs. challis, etc.)

-Have experience working in Shopify, Etsy, or a similar e-commerce platform.

-A capable computer user who can learn new systems quickly and troubleshoot software and devices.

-Able to work on their feet for most of an 8-hour workday.

-Able to lift and move fabric rolls weighing 35 to 40 pounds.

-Able to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining precision and accuracy.

Compensation

Compensation is $21.50 per hour with an employee discount of 40% off up to $200 in fabric retail value per week. Unpaid vacation time and sick time are flexible and as needed. We aim to create a workplace that accommodates family life, restorative time, and other personal needs.

Location

Our studio is currently located in an isolated wing of a private home in Trumansburg, NY. However, we hope to move to a commercial space in the next year, anywhere from Ithaca to Trumansburg. Currently, some pets live in the home, so the applicant must be ok with dogs and cats.
