Growing fast paced Real Estate Management Company is seeking a full-time HVAC/Appliance Technician for year round work. Ideal candidate is expected to work out of our Ronkonkoma, NY- Appliance Shop. This position requires traveling throughout our various locations. Technician must be hands on, committed, reliable, motivated individual with minimum of 3 to 5 yrs. experience in HVAC. Ideal candidate reports to our Appliance Supervisor.
Responsibilities: Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, repairing and ensuring that service requests are executed in a timely manner.
Duties and responsibilities include:
⢠Heating/Air Conditioning/Ventilation - Service/Installations
⢠Appliance troubleshooting/repairs e.g. Washers/Dryers/Stoves/Microwaves/Refrigerators
⢠Plumbing/Pipefitting/Pipe threading
⢠Boiler troubleshooting/repair/installation
⢠Refrigeration systems installation/troubleshooting/repair
⢠Welding/ brazing of HVAC/Plumbing copper piping
⢠Electrical & Mechanical Repairs
⢠Preventive Maintenance of HVAC and boiler equipment
⢠Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and boiler equipment
⢠HVAC repairs - Must be able to fix a/c wall units, ductless and central air systems
⢠General trouble shooting e.g. appliances, boilers, power tools, electric motors/pumps
⢠Proficient in industry standards/best practices regarding safety and quality
Qualifications:
⢠EPA Certification
⢠Experience in Servicing/Installing of A/C units
⢠Experience in Servicing appliances
⢠Refrigeration Experience a plus
⢠Boiler/Gas Furnace/Water Heater Service and Installation Experience
⢠Trade School/Manufacturerâs Training Certificates a plus
⢠Valid NY Driver's license.
⢠Have own tools
⢠OSHA 10-hour training certification
⢠Basic computer skills needed
⢠Possess excellent communication skills e.g. friendly and courteous
Willing to train further in above duties but some experience in these fields is a must.
