PART TIME WAREHOUSE CLERK NEEDED
Able to work Mon/Fri/Sat
Job Description:
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island is looking to expand our Donation Center. We are looking for highly motivated, customer focused individuals with a positive, polite and enthusiastic attitude that would like to grow with our agency. The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for loading and unloading of donations into the warehouse and onto outbound trucks.
Responsibilities:
-Unloads inbound trucks stocking donations when needed.
-Sorts and weighs donations appropriately i.e. cloth, misc
-Loads outgoing truck in an orderly fashion.
-Assists walk up donor with unloading of vehicles
-Distributes receipts to walk up donors.
-Handles shipping/receiving.
-Moves material in and out of warehouse based on space
-Moves pallets/boxes/carts around the warehouse
-Operates warehouse machinery.
-Emptys bins and maintains area around them.
-Maintains cleanliness of building and grounds when necessary.
-Other tasks when assigned.
Qualifications:
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
-Good communication and customer service skills
-Ability to follow Safety Standards and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures
-Ability to work in the elements i.e. heat, snow, rain
-Ability to lift up to 75lbs regularly
