Focus Works, an established leader in the food industry providing automated systems, is now accepting applications for the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) / Electrical Engineer position at its facility in Patchogue, NY.
Applicants must possess a BS or BA in electrical engineering or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Program PLC Logic for Allen Bradley and related controllers
- Develop modular logic blocks following internal coding standards
- Development of HMI and HMI interfaces
- Modify existing programs
- Understand and develop electrical design
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for field issues
- Travel to customer sites
- Participate in design reviews
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position
- Strong project management and PLC programming skills required
- Must be experienced in PLC logic and programming for Allen Bradley PLCs
- Experience in Automation manufacturing
- Ability to read, understand, and create electrical and control schematics
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug electrical and control circuits.
- Understanding of process and machine control

The PLC Programmer / Electrical Engineer duties include: integration and development of industrial food equipment, support of and maintenance of existing systems, etc.
This is a full-time position, in which the employee will be eligible for standard benefits after a brief waiting period.
