Summary:
Software Engineer with background in scripting using Python, JavaScript, etc.
Responsibilities:
-Execute our manual and automated test plans to validate scanner software functionality and user documentation
-Analyze results (documentation issues, setup issues, software bugs, etc)
-Report and track defects resulting from the test effort in a bug tracking tool.
-Work with software developers and other team members to help root-cause any issues found.
-Ensure all timelines are met according to department processes.
-Document deviations to procedures.
-Provide status reports to project test lead
Qualifications:
Experience Level - 2+ Years
-We prefer someone with Python experience over JavaScript. JavaScript is good, but we are using Python for our automation systems.
-Use current documentation of test process and formalize as released procedures in document control system.
-Shadow test team and document process flows and test procedures (that are currently not documented).
-Work with business team to ensure traceability process is adequate.
-Work with NPI team on test planning documentation. Support to the Field Engineering Team in testing of new hardware, software applications and accessories of new and upgraded products as they are released.
-Raise of all issues found during testing and to work with the Development and Integration Teams to track those issues until resolution.
-Capable to read and understand technical specifications.
-Good English knowledge and PC skills.
-Candidates with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Software Engineering or Computer Science program are preferred.
-Experience on Windows XP, Win7 and later
-Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel - very important
-Knowledge of software life cycle is a plus.
-Must be task oriented and focused, with attention to detail accuracy.
-Must be reliable with excellent interpersonal, coordination and verbal/written communication skills
