Job Description: Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Low Latency Systems Architect and Site Reliability Engineer, the candidate will bring their skills and experience to Design and Build of Low Latency Infrastructure solutions for Equities, Fixed Income, and Wealth Management customers within Credit Suisse. This role also focuses on devising and implementing automation and operational enhancements of the Low Latency/HFT/bespoke platforms as well as a number of other strategic architecture initiatives globally. The candidate will work closely with the key Low Latency application teams to understand their needs and engineer solutions for them. These will include High-Performance Cooling Systems, FPGA, GPU, and Microwaves. This candidate is expected to work directly with application development teams in IBIT and front office businesses globally to provide solutions to their complex infrastructure requirements as well as support organizations in infrastructure and applications.

The role will require service management of the following services in a global capacity:

• Ultra and Low Latency Hosting Service
• Low Latency Market Data and Order Execution Service
• Client Onboarding & Connectivity Service
• Application Latency Monitoring and Reporting Service
• Performance & Monitoring Engineering

Skills Required:

• Candidate must possess a minimum of 10 plus years of experience in a live environment including:
• Expect 7+ years of managing systems in the electronic trading environment, preferably in Low Latency
• Experience with Low Latency Products (High-Performance Cooling Systems, FPGA, GPU, Microwaves)
• Red Hat RPM package creation and repository management
• Using scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash)
• Experience with Puppet expected experience with Foreman and Ansible is a plus
• Strong understanding of Storage Products.
• Strong grasp of automation, performance, and monitoring products.
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools
• Core system services: BIND, Sendmail, Postfix, Samba, Rsync, NTP, NFS, etc
• System and Application Logging: Syslog-ng, Rsyslog, Splunk, etc.
• Experience in version control with GIT
• Experience with Jenkins a plus
• A strong focus on business outcomes
• Comfortable with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional borders
• Lead technology best practices to ensure systems uptime is maintained
• Take turns on 24/7 on-call rota supporting business-critical applications and systems

Client Engagement:

• Must be knowledgeable of the front office business culture and climate in equities and fixed income business and demonstrate high-level client service management skills
• Clients and Low Latency technology assets are primarily operated out of global colocations and data center facilities with close proximity to major exchanges and ECN, and Electronic Trading Network (ETN) environments, the candidate must be familiar with this
• Ability to represent service portfolio, financial pricing for services to clients

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
• 10+ years' experience required.
