Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Business Process Analyst / Technical Writer in Manhattan, NY.

Description:
The client is seeking an expert specialized in business process re-engineering and effective communication writing for an IT services operation. The IT department is currently undergoing a transformation including the design and build-out of ITIL-based procedures, re-branding of the intranet site, centralized management of all IT communications channels, and revamped policies and procedures. This specialist will leverage their BPR, communications and technical writing skills to facilitate and support the process management and IT communications team. Specific deliverables for this engagement include:

IT Communications Policy + Templates: Update and implement the draft IT Communications Policy and ensure awareness, access and use of relevant comms templates,
IT Policies Revision: Revise and publish core IT policies to an easier-to-read, understand, follow and enforce format,
IT Communications: Draft and send IT communications about product announcements, launches, awareness, updates and other IT-related comms,
Process Inventory and Mapping: Inventory the current operating processed and procedures for each unit, understanding how they map to each other and identify gaps,
Process Optimization Support: Facilitate and support the roll out of functional processed and supporting materials, ensuring alignment to organization, departmental and unit goals.

Skills:
Background in supporting ITIL process buildouts, ITIL Foundations v3 certification preferred.
Knowledge and experience managing and preparing materials to support organizational change management.
Policy and procedural, technical writing is strongly preferred.
Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field: M.B.A with business communications skills preferred.
6-8 years of IT experience, a broad range of technical domain knowledge preferred.
Strong understanding of different process styles and involvement in multiple process improvement projects.
Direct experience as a process owner and /or manager in different IT methodologies (SDLC, waterfall, ITSM, DevOps)
Experience with communication delivery channels, collaboration tools, web content management, and UX design is preferred.
Familiar with organizational change management and user adoption methods.
Experience with business process modeling and analysis tools and understanding of other related technologies.

Duties:
Update, implement and draft IT Comm Policy and ensure awareness, access and use of relevant comms templates
Draft, update & maintain IT Comm Policy and related processes. Communicate these policies & procedures to appropriate stakeholders.
Create comms templates as needed and ensure awareness and use. Draft and send IT communications.
Revise existing IT policies and draft new ones, as needed, in a user-friendly format. Ensure awareness
Facilitate and support the roll out of functional processed and supporting materials, ensuring alignment to organization, departmental and unit goals.
