OVERVIEW This person is responsible for the stewardship, direction and daily operation of all aspects of Information Technology (IT) in a K-12 environment. This individual is responsible for activities of an Onsite Technical team working in a complex, fast-paced and demanding environment. This person must strike a balance between Support demands and advancing strategic projects. This person must also rotate between being a champion for the client and being an advocate for the Onsite team and knowing when to diplomatically shift roles. This person must be adept at maintaining positive relationships, have a structured approach toward workload management and holding people responsible, and be able to defuse misunderstandings and disagreements and bring people together. RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Management
Communicating proactively and promptly with client, clarifying needs and reflecting these back to the client for confirmation
Understanding and clarification of strategic direction for infrastructure and instructional technology
Intake point for all Project related request and escalated support issues
Team Leadership
Performance management of IT team/staff
Individual team member development, coaching and training
Workload organization – driving transparency, equity and accountability
Budgetary
Establishment of annual operating and capital budgets
Management of expenses against budgetary plans
Negotiation with vendors and suppliers
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience building and growing IT operations team/teams
Certification or demonstrable experience with Quality Management systems (ITIL, HDI, Cobit, ISO, etc.)
Previous budgetary responsibility
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong professional presence and presentation skills
