Long Island Carpet Cleaners, Inc. is a family-owned business based in the Glendale neighborhood of Queens, New York. Founded in 1917, we're in our fifth generation of management. We service homes and businesses throughout the NYC-metro area, cleaning area rugs, wall-to-wall carpet, upholstered furniture, draperies and stone. We operate in a fast-paced environment with an intense focus on serving our customers. We are seeking someone that can play an integral role in our daily operations. The nature of our work requires excellent multi-tasking skills in a time sensitive environment as well as strong communication skills, reliability and punctuality. No prior knowledge of the home cleaning industry is necessary, but experience in customer service and/or account management is a plus.

The Customer Service Associate's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Taking incoming calls and responding to emails from residential and commercial customers seeking to schedule cleaning appointments.

Tracking onsite cleaning technician and truck driver routes.

Addressing customer complaints and other issues that arise during the course of daily operations.

Administrative functions including tracking and following up on various items related to prospective and active customers.

Working on special projects and assignments as requested.

The candidate must:

Be detail oriented and very well organized.

Show a passion for customer service.

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to email and talk with colleagues, customers, subcontractors and other parties.

Be extremely effective and efficient at client follow up.

Be proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel Outlook).

Have the ability to learn to navigate our order management system, including the ability to make clear, concise and detailed system notes.

Be able to multi-task in a very fast-paced work environment.

Efficiently manage time and responsibilities to maximize performance.

Be reliable (arrive on time and ready to work).
