Job Details
As a AWS Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be responsible for rebuilding and refining our cloud infrastructure from the ground up to better automate, scale, and improve the stability and security of our cloud environment. We are seeking a SRE with strong cloud experience that loves automation and has worked in cloud environments holding significant amounts of data.
Our infrastructure is predominantly hosted in AWS along with a bit of GCP, and we are in the midst of containerizing our environment with Kubernetes.
Qualifications:
4+ years of Site Reliability / DevOps Engineering experience
Experience building, scaling, and automating cloud environments (AWS preferred but open to Azure of GCP)
Loves writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or Cloudformation
Strong scripter capable of writing automation scripts with Bash, Python, Ruby, or related languages
Experience managing and handling large amounts of data
Exposure to big data / data streaming tools like Kafka, Spark, Samza, Hadoop, Hbase, etc.
Configuration Management experience with Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
Experience standing up and automating CI/CD pipelines
Containerization experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, GKE, or related tool
