We are seeking a skilled HVAC & Plumbing Draftsperson/Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing design drawings for residential and commercial buildings, with a strong ability to interpret and apply applicable codes and technical standards.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit knowledge is a plus).
Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing system layouts and design principles.
Familiarity with NYC Building Codes, Plumbing Code, and Mechanical Code.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturer equipment specifications.
Strong research skills.
Prior experience in residential and commercial design projects is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Prepare floor plans for HVAC and plumbing systems in residential and small commercial projects.
Develop riser diagrams for plumbing, sprinkler, and HVAC systems.
Review and apply relevant NYC Building Code, Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code, and other applicable codes.
Research and interpret manufacturer equipment manuals to select suitable models and equipment for specific project requirements.
Coordinate with engineers and architects to ensure accurate and code-compliant designs.
Maintain organized and detailed documentation of drawings, technical data, and design decisions.
