Work on assigned Distributed Computing projects and tasks
Work closely with Audit Response team on remediation tasks
Follow the change control processes and procedures
Racking and stacking hardware in the data center (Client Blade Servers, Client Enclosures, and appliances)
Provide systems administration, monitoring troubleshooting, and problem resolution for the Microsoft Windows Servers, Desktops, and Cloud (e.g. Azure and AWS) environment
Support, develop, document, test, and implement engineering solutions
Research and recommend innovative solutions and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks
Provide technical consultation in new systems implementation, new feature or function evaluations, and enhancement of existing systems (automation)
The candidate will produce detailed implementation instructions and carry out required changes to complete tasks/projects, resolve incidents/problems, and for changes/improvements requested by management.
The candidate is required to update/maintain all documentation and will be tasked with improving such documentation as required.
Maintain effective communication with the Systems Infrastructure team and management
Late night and weekend work may be necessary at times for installations, patching, upgrades, and maintenance
Experience:
Cloud Experience (AWS / Azure)
Server build experience - Windows and Linux
Strong Active Directory experience - Troubleshooting Active Directory: DNS, DHCP, ADFS, Client, Group Policies, Domain Replication, AD sites, and Services, Domain Trusts, Raising Forest Fictional level. Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)
File Server - Shares and NTFS permissions
Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
Desktop Engineering experience
SCCM and Application Packaging and/or Virtualization APPV
IBM WebSphere MQ (Middleware)
Experience with Microsoft Exchange Administration (e.g. Azure, Exchange Online)
