As a

Sr.

Java Developer (Back-End), you will be accountable for interfacing regularly with teams, including internal IT teams across Wealth Management, BA team, QA team and the Offshore Development team. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and can work with both users and lead IT team members in a highly collaborative team environment. This position requires that the candidate understands the banking technology landscape and offers creative solutions that integrate current capabilities and proprietary system builds.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Java 8 (11 preferred) features like lambda expressions, Stream API, CompletableFuture, etc.
  • Understand fundamental algorithms and is able to code with algorithms.
  • Experienced with asynchronous development, multithreading, and Microservices, including Spring Boot.
  • Knowledge and experience with Systems Design, AMQ, SQS, & Jenkins.
  • Project management and software lifecycle management skills is a plus.
  • Cloud computing, especially AWS, would be a plus.
  • Financial Services domain background is a plus.

Job Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Java development within an enterprise-level domain.
  • Mature server development and knowledge of frameworks, preferably Spring.
  • Pivotal Cloud Foundry preferred
  • Amazon ECS preferred
  • Drools (rules engine) preferred
  • Kafka preferred
  • Mongo preferred
  • Enterprise experience working and building enterprise products, long term tenure at enterprise-level organizations, experience working with a remote team, and being an avid practitioner in their craft.
  • You have project-managed a team, you are aware of keeping the right tracking and scope.
  • You have pushed code into production and have deployed multiple products to market, but are missing the visibility of a small team within a large enterprise technology environment.
  • You enjoy coaching junior engineers, but want to remain hands-on with code.
