Title: Senior Architect/Java Developer Location: NYC Duration: FT PERM Role - Direct Hire w/Cleint
JOB DESCRIPTION: Major Responsibilities:
Chair of Design Authority Committee (DAC) committee chair oversees design decisions, software tooling choices and innovation recommendations across various development technology stacks. I.e. Python, Java, .NET, Puppet, Database, Powershell.
Java development for realtime messaging based corporate applications
Lead and coordinate proof of concept (POC) based initiatives for enterprise level platforms (i.e. messaging, persistence stores, 3 rd party products, shared libraries, etc.)
Participate in the improvement of our DevOps initiatives
Required Skills
10+ years - Enterprise Integration Pattern based development (i.e. Camel frameworks)
10+ years - Active MQ and/or Kafka Messaging
10+ years - Java Development. Must be an active, hand-on developer
5+ years - SQL Server based development
5+ years - DevOps experience
Strong architectural and design skills (i.e. Cloud certification, OCMJEA or equivalent)
Comfortable discussing enterprise level services independent of technology stack
Test Driven Development (TDD) oriented
Comfortable working in an Agile Scrum environment
Experience with Cloud based data architectures, messaging, analytics
Interest in being part of a cutting-edge team, driving the technical vision for a large enterprise
Very strong communication skills
Mentor and guide staff members
Education
Minimally a BA degree within an engineering and/or computer science discipline
