REMOTE Opportunity to join a mature, Cloud initiative within a Financial Services firm. This team support multiple projects and you will be managing multiple DevOps workstreams supporting AWS Cloud development teams.


Long term opportunity with ability to convert to full-time quickly.

location: New York, New York

job type: Contract

salary: $68 - 75 per hour

work hours: 9am to 5pm

education: Bachelors



responsibilities:

DevOps Responsibilities



  • Design, deploy and operate application infrastructure as code(includes creating cloud formation scripts from Cloud SRE templates/reusable patterns)
  • Application configuration management
  • Implement monitoring & SLIs for key Infra and app components
  • Manage application infrastructure
  • Build and maintain CI/CD for building, testing, and deploying software.
  • Application security + data security and integrity as per InfoRisk standards.
  • Attend Daily Scrums
  • Automate deployments and key tasks.
  • Implement standards for Source Code Management, naming resources and templates.
  • Application production release readiness
  • Application management
  • Define SLIs and SLOs with development team
  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Security, Development and PM.






DevOps Skill set





  • AWS Services - CloudFormation, Lambda, CodeDeploy, CodeBuild, API Gateway, ELB, ECS, S3, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena
  • Languages - Python, Node.js
  • Good understanding of Serverless Architecture
  • Tools - Git, JIRA
  • Agile Methodology





qualifications:


  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Education: Bachelors (required)


skills:
  • DevOps (5 years of experience is preferred)
  • AWS (6 years of experience is preferred)
