The candidate will define and lead WFAM Automation implementations to deliver common, secure, consistent capabilities across WFAM. The role will report directly to the CTO of WFAM.The primary task is to transform our capabilities, provide appropriate innovative methods, develop self-service tools, and build a state of the art technology organization. The role will ensure that WFAM can meet challenges of the rapidly changing financial services landscape.As the head of the key engineering group, you will work closely with the software engineers, product managers, business leaders, data architects, and the larger technology organization to get high-quality data solution build out for WFAM.As a transformational leader you’ll focus on technical mentorship and coaching. This is an amazing opportunity for a strong technical leader.Automation Lead – Wells Fargo Asset ManagementResponsibilities include:

Lead WFAM strategy implementation to deliver common, secure, consistent automation capabilities across WFAM.

Drive Application rationalization portfolio by streamlining processes and data.

Develop strategic roadmaps for Asset Management domain, drive improvement in automation, efficiency, code quality and best development practices.

Collaborate with peer technology teams to drive common architecture and build reusable services and components. Leverage existing enterprise solutions where they exist.

In partnership with the boarder Wells Fargo Architecture and Transformation teams rollout CI/CD, TTD, automation processes and practices to support automation, improvements in code quality and systems capabilities, reduce cross system data redundancy.

Prevent the proliferation of disparate products and technology strategies.

Build strong relationship with the business, partner with stakeholders, engage in strategic initiative, and provide innovative and robust data solutions.

Collaborate with internal teams, bring critical day-to-day leadership and thinking to the table, creating strategically and technologically sound Target Architecture.

Recruit, mentor and develop talent by setting appropriate goals and expectations for the team.

Act as internal expert to technology and business groups, enabling and supporting the adoption of the latest trend in development techniques and architecture.

Build and maintain data heavy analytics and applications to support investment process including research, portfolio management, risk management and back-office functionality.

Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of application development and implementation experience

7+ years of securities investment banking industry experience, capital markets industry experience, or a combination of both

2+ years of management experience in the capital markets and investment banking industry

10+ years of Java experience

5+ years of JavaScript framework experience (YUI, Angular, Node)

5+ years of Python experience

5+ years of SQL experience

5+ years of Agile experience

Desired Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge and understanding of capital markets, foreign exchange pricing conventions, and web based technology

Extensive knowledge and understanding of mathematical modeling

Basic knowledge and understanding of SEC, FNRA, and international regulations for building technological solutions

A Master's degree or higher

10+ years of investment industry experience
