Our client is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer who will incorporate infrastructure design, planning, build and maintenance to support the client’s cloud environments. This position will ensure that cloud solutions are optimized for cost, utilization, and functionality and will work closely with delivery teams including infrastructure, security, networking, disaster recovery, unified communications, and applications.
Responsibilities

• Build, run and support platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) on Azure, AWS and other Tier-1 cloud providers.
• Deliver end-to-end infrastructure management solutions in hybrid and cloud environments.
• Engage and partner with all internal teams to achieve department and client goals.
• Work to integrate cloud solutions with existing enterprise tools and systems.
• Continually manage all cloud builds, especially IaaS and PaaS services, and improve infrastructure operations through better use of monitoring and scripting best practices.
• Evaluate cloud requirements and make recommendations for implementation, deployment, and provisioning.
• Define infrastructure delivery strategies, standards, processes, technologies, and tools.
• Improve infrastructure operations through better use of monitoring, cloud coding and scripting best practices.
• Automate legacy data center infrastructure migration to cloud environments.
• Implement cloud governance, build, deployment and monitoring standards.
• Review the current enterprise cloud architecture to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement using cloud solutions.
• Ensure compliance of solutions to architectural standards, and in accordance with the client’s security, compliance and privacy policies.
• Keep abreast of emerging cloud technologies.
• Produce run-books to document all builds.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Experience with cloud deployment and operations, especially on Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS.
• Experience with implementing Secure Architectures for private and/or public internet facing systems.
• Strong understanding of networking, internet protocols and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and developing fault tolerance and scalable systems for the cloud.
• Ability to manage cloud solutions and optimize for cost and efficiency.
• Working knowledge of VMWare, Cisco networking, Citrix, Microsoft Directory Services including Azure Active Directory, Certificate Services.
• Administrative experience with Office 365 platform.
• System Admin toolbox.
• Proficiency with creating technical based documentation and presentations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or comparable work experience.
• 5+ years in Information Services, ideally in a professional services or legal organization.
• Certification in Azure Administrator.
• Certification in AWS SysOps Engineer.
