A leading utility provider located in New York, NY is looking for a Computer / LAN Analyst for a12+ month contract.

Onsite work and travel within the NYC metropolitan area is IMMEDIATELY required. Candidates must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:



  • To support the Electric Distribution Control Center users, applications, desktops, and servers. 24X7 offsite support and a vehicle is mandatory due to emergency off hour support and various support locations.

  • Computer Analyst, responsible for 1st and 2nd level Local Area Network support (LAN) operating in all of the clients various sites and environments.

  • The analyst will provide day to day support for the Electric Distribution Control Center. With some general guidance, the analyst will provide on-site troubleshooting, problem diagnosis and resolution to desktop computing issues.

  • The analyst will be required to work with the internal Electric Distribution Control Center team as well as client technical support groups to assist in the deploy and upgrade of routers, switches, servers, and new technologies as we incorporate them into our environment.

  • The position requires good customer service skills, due to significant contact with our users.


Required Skills & Experience:



  • Minimum 5-7 Years of hands on technical experience administering Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Windows 10 and Active Directory.

  • Expert installing and maintaining Windows 10, Office 365 and desktop imaging services.

  • Expert in Windows patch management.

  • Excellent verbal, communication and writing skills is required.

  • Must have experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and Visio.

  • Strong Cyber security awareness and focus; knowledge of IT Cybersecurity controls.

  • A solid foundation in information technology, including the principles and practices of systems design, administration, maintenance and functions of an Enterprise IT Department.

  • Ability to make decisions and provide solutions by inquiring, listening and evaluating information. Must easily adjust to changing priorities, circumstances and direction.

  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed and respond to emergencies

  • Must be able to lift and install servers and equipment up to 50 pounds.

  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting Networking and Security technology such as Routers/Switches/Firewalls

  • Experience with VMware virtualization
