Job description:

The successful candidate will join the project team and will be working with a diverse group of stakeholders, performing high level & detailed analysis, defining and building data pipelines using StreamSets and writing scripts within Snowflake & MS SQL databases. The candidate must be able to perform system integration and deployment activities, prepare system support documentation, and system functions within our current HR system.

Primary Responsibilities:




  • Hands-on experience with the full Business Intelligence stack, preferably using StreamSets with Snowflake data warehouse

  • Advise on best practices around StreamSets/Snowflake driven implementations

  • Develop queries and transformations with SQL, build data pipelines within StreamSets and scripts within Snowflake

  • Experience with database performance tuning

  • Lead knowledge sharing sessions with the core team to enhance their ETL skills and for support transition

  • Perform and document data analysis, data validation, data mapping/design, by accessing multiple sources, specifically data residing in data warehouses

  • Participate in fit/gap analysis, data migration activities and designing the integrations with internal/external systems

  • Document the as-is/to-be process flows, system configurations and technical/functional design specifications

  • Provide expert advice and design inputs in the areas of Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, Data Marts, Data Governance, and Security

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Essential Qualifications:


  • Ample

    professional experience with computer science, engineering, data modeling (relational, star and Snowflake schemas), semantic layer design, StreamSets and development

  • A solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and normalization

  • Extensive database development experience in Snowflake/MS SQL Server database and SQL scripting

  • Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools

  • Solving any data or performance issues related to workbooks and data sources

  • Experience in HR domain


Desirable Qualifications:


  • Experience working with HR ERP systems such as PeopleSoft HR, SAP SuccessFactors

  • Experience in developing, maintaining and managing Tableau & ThoughtSpot driven dashboards & analytics

  • Data Quality Management & Data Governance
