Doran Jones is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for solving business problems with technology and creating high quality software, and that is eager to learn about the intersection of finance and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with portfolio management, trading, compliance and technology teams to deliver cutting-edge innovative software solutions
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced team environment to understand, engineer, and deliver on business requirements
  • Strike a balance along the dimensions of feasibility, stability, scalability, and time-to-market while delivering solutions

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science or closely related field
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience
  • Deep expertise in an object-oriented programming language such C#
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience writing production queries against one or more SQL DBMS
  • Experience with Python, React, CSS, AWS, MSSQL, NoSQL, is a plus
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with basic DevOps techniques, including CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code, is a plus

  • Summary:

  • Duties: Works with a small group of four to six engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects by proving pertinent documents, direction, and examples; identifying short- and long-term solutions and timeline; reviewing and providing feedback for proposed solutions; and performing design and code reviews of changes. Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; formulating an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; performs root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and completing online documentation. Provides support to the business by responding to user’s questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies); and facilitating resolutions. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.Salary Range: $115,918/year to $216,000/year.
