• Six sigma certification (Green or Black belt in DMAIC and/or DMADV)
• Hands-on development of project management tooling is highly desirable (e.g. JIRA) Quartz Product Manager
Quartz is the Bank of America’s Global Markets and Banking cross-asset, front-to-back platform for pricing, analytics, trade capture, and risk/P&L reconciliation. This platform is leveraged by Capital Market’s Lines of Business (LOBs) to develop products for their business, regulatory and enterprise objectives.
Overview of the Role
The Quartz ecosystem includes multiple best-in-class products and services that collectively provide the foundation needed to run this complex platform. One of the main responsibilities of the Product Management team is to own the Book-of-Work (BOW) for these products and services. Each PM is aligned with a Development Lead, and works directly and independently with LOB and Regulatory PMs to drive requirements that manifest into the BOW. The PM will own and maintain the LOB-PM relationship, which should lead into continuous discussions on project delivery, funding, resource planning and overall program/project governance.
• Quartz, by design, provides support to Regulatory and Enterprise programs. Some of these Regulatory programs, such as IMM, xVA, CCAR, etc. are heavily dependent on Quartz APIs, models and data. Enterprise programs fully leverage the entire Quartz platform to delivery front desk capabilities to enhance the markets business. The ideal candidate should:
o Experience with public and/or private cloud technologies; significant expose to grid compute
o Experience with database architecture and batch job processing
o Worked as a Business Analyst, with a comprehensive understanding of trade capture, deal management and pricing (market models, market data, deal model)
o Have a track record from managing complex technical migrations across multiple business units with varying timelines
o Have the ability to drive projects to completion, able to manage risks and blockers
o Be able to present and escalate statissues to senior leadership in a manner that action can be taken
o Foster an environment of collaboration and partnership to drive the project forward, including negotiating deadlines
