Create, maintain and execute test scripts; ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements;
Conduct all types of application testing as needed, such as integration, system, regression, new functionality and performance testing.

Work with appropriate technology team members to determine the acceptable range for test results and performance.
Discover, track and verify defects ensuring that they are prioritized, scheduled, and communicated to development in a timely fashion.
Administer/configure test environment resources to ensure that the environment is adequate for testing.
Produce clear and accurate defect reports detailing software and functional issues based on testing results.
qualifications:Experience and skill sets:
Working knowledge of UNIX
Experience testing C / Java / Python
Experience with defect tracking tools
Experience with Relational Databases and SQL
Knowledge of Fixed Income products (Treasury, Swaps, FX, etc.)
Experience of FI Markets/ECNs (Cantor, BrokerTec, TradeWeb, CBOT, CME, etc.)
Experience with testing trade/order processing applications
Hands on testing experience on electronic application is big plus
Familiarity with publish/subscribe message systems
skills:
Three years direct experience as a test engineer for major application integration and/or major application product release
Knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Experience working with remote/virtual teams
Solid experience with Functional, Regression, Performance, and Failover testing
Experience with Mercury QuickTest Pro (QTP) to automate GUI applications
