Trigyn is seeking Senior Core Java Developer for contract position with its direct financial services client in New York City.
Description:
The client is looking for a senior Java developer with Fixed Income, Electronic Trading experience. The role includes a combination of long-term strategic development and shorter-term business focused development on Rates eTrading platform.
The ideal candidate will be expected to gain expertise in several components of this platform and take full ownership of their assignments from requirements gathering to rollout. The nature of the application development tasks could be in support of one or many of adding business logic, new services, maintenance, bug fix, QA automation or framework development subject to qualifications.
Skills Required:
Developer with relevant Java development experience
Strong knowledge of core/server-side Java
Development experience in object-oriented programming and working with mixture of new and legacy systems
Fixed Income experience. Experience with Rates (US Treasuries or Swaps) is a nice to have.
The candidate must be willing to communicate directly with clients they serve (ex. Traders, Sales representatives, Operations and other technology partners)
Good problem-solving, result-focused, can-do attitude, and strong focus to keep the business running and competitive.
Ability to work in a team.
Skills Desired:
Previous eTrading experience with B2C Exchanges (e.g.: Tradeweb/Bloomberg) or B2B Venues (e.g.: Brokertec/eSpeed/Fenics)
Previous Algo development experience
Previous low latency development experience
Open to learn and work with other technologies (e.g.: Python) as business objectives require
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
