Liaison between the business and the diverse data repositories - a Data Steward
Lead Data mapping exercise to extract data from data repositories (Ocean, Genesis, RDW) as business needed
Proven experience in maintaining complex data management solutions from requirements through design and implementation
Lead discussions with client technology teams as well as internal and external market data providers to identify, extract and acquire data need for business solutions
Partner with developers and internal teams to improve data coverage and analytic capabilities
Develop data management strategy and processes supporting data governance, stewardship and security
Demonstrates understanding of the use of data to solve/augment a business use case
Manage, control and identify all aspects of Data privacy including CBAT’s , access and publishing
Creating and maintaining functional requirements documents, minor development documents and other business analysis artifacts
Facilitating data mapping sessions with multiple stakeholders across different orgs
Able to manage security mechanisms that enable data access restrictions defining and executing against data governance policies and procedures.
Get exposure to leading-edge technologies in the Big Data space and act as a change agent to drive innovation
Perform ad-hoc data investigations when necessary to profile and analysis data to address inquiries around data quality and integrity
Define and develop data validation, verification and reconciliation strategies
QualificationsKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE :Qualifications
10+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst and knowledge of Global Markets business environment
Knowledge and understanding of banking industry, especially Markets products and processes. Good understanding of Trade life cycle.
Knowledge of the overall Citibank Data strategy, as example Ocean, Genesis, RDW
Ability to work independently given general guidance.
Analytical mindset with a strong interest in data manipulation
The ability to understand and document the needs of the client and to communicate these needs to the technology team is essential.
Ability to grasp new technologies rapidly as needed to progress varied initiatives and to think Out of the box for any given business requirement
Knowledge in all aspects of Data Security aspects
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Required Skills:
Experience in data mapping, understanding data flow , data warehousing or other data environments
Proficient in data analysis using SQL / MS Excel with the ability to optimize, analyze, and improve query performance
Project Management experience
Familiarity with Big Data technologies (HBASE, Spark etc.), DaaS (Data as a Service) , Data Lake and with NoSQL tools (Mongo, Cassandra, etc. a plus)
Strong academic record, ideally with a degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or other analytical background
Strong analytical background, experience in handling data reconcilement, preparation of management reports (combining and accurately reflecting data), and making recommendations towards efficient solutions.
Experience and proven knowledge in relevant data technologies and languages such as : Relational Database Systems and SQL; reporting tools (MicroStrategy, etc.) and scripting language (Python, Perl, JavaScript, Shell)
Familiar with technologies such as machine learning and Kafka
Languages: Fluent in English. Spanish and Portuguese are a plus
