job summary:
We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic Senior Payroll Analyst to support the payroll accounting operations. Requiring excellent relationships with both external Payroll providers and internal HR Generalists & Stock Administrators across Americas. You will have a solid understanding of payroll & stock related matters, including taxation, benefit and equity plans. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of combined experience in payroll operations at a global organization listed in U.S and extensive knowledge of payroll tax regulations.
What you will do:
- 5+ years of Workday expereience is a MUST HAVE
- Ensure accurate quarter and year-end processing included but not limited to federal, state, and local tax reconciliations, W-2 and 1099 issuance
- Handle escalated issues, tax notices, or tax audits for federal, state, and local taxes
- Establish best practice for tax administration
- Research and communicate information about current and proposed payroll tax legislation and company procedures to ensure compliance and customer understanding
- Keep up to date on compliance for payroll procedures as they relate to Federal regulations and company policies
- Be responsible for semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll processing for Americas
- Process daily stock option exercises, RSU and NSO and ISO's
- Assist with additional ad hoc projects as outlined by the Payroll team lead.
- Provide superior customer service to employees with questions relating to their payroll
Who you are:
- Extensive knowledge of Payroll Tax Compliance
- Experience with WorkDay
- Experience with ADP SmartCompliance
- Minimum of 5 years related experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance. CPP/CEP Preferred.
- Able to work in a high pace environment
- Experience with multi-state a HUGE plus
- Knowledge of Equity is a plus
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive data
- Excellent organization skills with attention to detail and completeness
- Proficiency in Excel
- Business process improvement skills and a mind for automation
