Job Description:

Responsible for capturing and refining business and/or system requirements (based on specialization). Works with stakeholders to understand their needs, analyze problems, and capture their requirements, and then working closely with the Development Team to refine the requirement into specifications that can be executed by the team. Possess a working knowledge of the business and/or technical domain based on their specialization. Leverages experience and understanding of stakeholder needs to help create a solution, envisions the solution to solve a problem (manual or through software). Performs Cost/Benefit Analysis to align the technology to business strategy. Gathers & catalogs functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests. Determines the impact of modifications and enhancements on the application. Acts as the product(s) subject matter expert to support scope and requirement decisions. Ensures changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies. Assists users and development team with application testing and troubleshooting, and may help configure test solutions to validate functional and system needs. Identifies, document and troubleshoot application related problems. Documents process, procedures and workflows associated with applications. Leads or participate in continuous improvement efforts; Building expertise in creating, analyzing, and improving processes. Creates, maintains and presents training materials for end-users. Individual contributor.

A senior technical Business Analyst (5+ years of IT experience) supporting Bank of America's GBAM AML KYC Technology initiatives responsible for translating business processes/requirements into robust technical designs and artifacts.

The position will be supporting Bank of America's GBAM Regulatory Client Data environments with specific responsibilities in support of the Pega AML Regulatory application AWaRE.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Business Partners/Leaders facing roles
  • Development of high-level technical designs for AML Regulatory applications
  • Requirements gathering to translate business needs into technical requirements ensuring all impacted systems satisfy those business needs
  • Comprehensive process engineering to understand and document current and target state business process
  • Completing documentation of business and functional requirements design, process and data flows, business logic and rules, and use cases/stories
  • Proactively identifying application and process risks and then developing mitigation plans to resolve potential issues within the development lifecycle
  • Agile and Waterfall methodologies


Comprehensive system design and development support including:
  • Driving UI/UX/API design principles
  • Ensuring process optimization using Pega platform workflow tools
  • Completing rule authoring and data validations
  • Data analysis and data mining capabilities
  • Development testing and system validation

Required Skills:
  • 4+ years of technical Business Analysis experience supporting business units' end-to-end application analysis
  • Ability to take ownership of processes and deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that can adapt to all levels of the organization
  • System process engineering
  • Data analysis skills including query authoring
  • Ability to work as a self-starter and part of a delivery team
  • Agile and Waterfall software delivery methodologies
  • Experience with MS Office, Visio, and Jira
