The Bartender position is a pooled-tip service role that works closely with all other front-of-house and back-of-house team members. Their responsibilities include serving guests in a friendly, warm, accommodating, and professional manner. They should possess culinary and dining service skills to be able to suggest menu, cocktail and wine choices for their bar guests, as well as coordinate pouring beverages for dining room guests. This position is team oriented and the bartender works in coordination with captains, backwaiters and food runners always ensuring total guest satisfaction.
Qualifications Include:
Minimum 2 years of New York City fine dining bartending experience
Knowledge of cocktails, food & wine service a must.
Ability to learn and master Toast, the point-of-sale (POS) computer system
Actively practice food safety procedures
Able to take direction and complete tasks promptly
Effective use of time, organizational and multi-tasking skills
Strong willingness to learn and self-improve in all aspects of wine, food, and service knowledge
Pleasant, positive, and team-oriented demeanor
Clear and polished oral communication skills
Ability to work well within a team in a very fast-paced environment
Ability to engage guests in an articulate fashion and build relationships
Impeccable grooming habits, as defined by management and dress code
Be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
