Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a cook preferred.
- Skills:
Proficiency in various cooking techniques (grilling, frying, sautéing, etc.).
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
Good understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot kitchen environment.
- Personal Attributes: Team-oriented, strong communication skills, and ability to manage stress.
- Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items to order, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
Set up and stock kitchen stations with necessary ingredients and supplies.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Clean plates, utensils, and platters when needed.
Follow recipes and portion sizes accurately.
Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as necessary.
Maintain positive communication between the front of the house staff and the kitchen staff
Requirements:
Candidates should have proof of culinary education and/or certificate
Must have Food Handlers Certification from NY State
Ability to work at a fast paced restaurant
At least 3 years work experience in a fully operation kitchen
Must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively to all team members
