Hebrew Home at Riverdale by RiverSpring Health
Located along the scenic Hudson River, Hebrew Home at Riverdale by RiverSpring Health, a nationally renowned, not-for-profit, nonsectarian geriatric center, is a part of a continuum that provides care to more than 12,000 older people in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Westchester County areas of New York State. We have a full time 1st Cook opportunity available for dedicated culinary professionals interested in joining our dynamic Food Service team. These positions will work Monday through Friday and every other weekend and holiday coverage.
To qualify for the 1st Cook you must possess a High School diploma/GED or Technical or trade school certificate or diploma. 3+ years' experience working as a 2nd cook or Sous Chef with menu planning and food preparation experience in a fine dining establishment preferred. Possess ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Possess ability to speak effectively before groups or customers or employees of organization.
This positions required excellence communication, reading, writing, and customer service skills.
