Sweetleaf Coffee & Cocktail Bar in Long Island City seeks a motivated, fast, and detail-oriented bartender to join our team. Our neighborhood bar serves exceptional craft cocktails and quality spirits in a welcoming, relaxed environment. Our beverage program includes house-made syrups, fresh juices and fruit, and quality spirits from around the globe. This is an ideal position for a bartender seeking more experience and knowledge and someone who wants to hone their craft.
The right candidate will receive training and shadow shifts. Also of great importance is an excellent work ethic, warm and welcoming demeanor, and ability to seamlessly fit into the vibe and energy of the bar to provide the experience our customers have come to expect.
We are seeking a bartender with the following qualities:
- At least one year of NYC bartending experience.
- Fast and dedicated learner motivated to memorize cocktail specs and techniques quickly.
- Friendly, engaging, and social disposition.
- Enthusiasm for teamwork and learning.
- Skilled at multi-tasking and anticipating customers' needs at any given moment.
- Knowledge of using POS for handling orders and payments (not required but a plus).
- Punctual and reliable.
- Consistency in the level of service, communications, and professionalism.
Coffee knowledge/ interest is a plus!
We currently have up to 2 to 3 shifts for the right candidate. Willingness to provide coverage for other shifts when needed is also a plus. Pay includes hourly (via payroll) plus tips. Please provide valid legal work documents if you are not a citizen.
