1. Team Supervision: Directly supervise and support team members during the shift. Provide
guidance and ensure staff follows company policies and procedures.
2. Assist in creating a publishing the schedule
3. Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service by monitoring service quality, assisting
Floor Manager’s w/handling customer inquiries and complaints, and resolving issues in a timely
and professional manner.
4. Operational Excellence: Ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently during the shift, from
having supply on hand, overseeing the cleanliness of the steam table and Café area.
5. Training: Assist in training new team members and continuously coach existing staff to improve
their performance and develop their skills.
6. Safety and Sanitation: Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines, sanitation practices,
and proper handling of food to maintain a clean and safe environment.
7. Cash Handling: Oversee cash register operations, handle cash reconciliation, and ensure
accuracy in financial transactions if Manager is not present.
8. Opening and Closing Duties: Perform opening and closing procedures as required, including
setting up the restaurant for service and securing the premises at the end of the shift.
Ensure that the duties are being checked off in the 7shifts app.
9. Make sure staff has completed the closing sidework before they cash out and/or clockout.
10. Communication: Maintain effective communication with management, team members, and
other shift leaders to ensure a smooth flow of information. Input any notes from the shift into
the “Log Book” in the 7shifts app.
11. Upselling and Promotions: Encourage team members to upsell menu items and promote
restaurant specials to increase revenue.
12. Conflict Resolution: Address any conflicts or issues among team members and work to find
