Sushi of Gari in Manhattan is looking for full time sushi chefs and kitchen help to join the team. You should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Japanese cuisine, and be available to work on weekends and holidays. This is for indoor dining services so vaccination is required by NY regulations.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:
cutting and cleaning fish and other ingredients
preparing sushi/sashimi and rolls
monitor food stock as needed
maintain a clean work area and cleaning before and after the shift
For SUSHI CHEFS: must have experience at a high end sushi restaurant for this position. Must have knowledge of various fish and be able to work quickly and efficiently. Food Protection License is a plus.
For KITCHEN HELP: must have experience in grilling, frying, and prep work.
