Job Type: Full-time Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday 11 pm - 7 am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing nursing care and coordinating medical services for individuals in assigned IRA sites.

Evaluates residents health care needs on a continuing basis and reports to RN supervisor or and/or other appropriate parties.

Monitor and document individuals weight, height, and vital signs, as prescribed.

Maintain medical portion of Individuals record in an orderly and current manner, i.e., file, copying, removing and storing out of date records as delegated.

Maintains a sufficient amount of residents medication and other medical supplies in an orderly and centralized location in accordance with regulatory and nursing practice standards as delegated.

Provide routine nursing care as prescribed by physician.

Accompanies medical appointments as needed.

Completes all documentation related to medication administration (i.e., write/review administration and control drug sheets.)

Provide routine first aid (i.e., minor abrasions, burns, etc.)

Provides in-service training on medical issues as required.

Record monthly individual progress notes for each individual.

Complete job related tasks as needed.

Requirements:

Current NYS LPN license

Associates Degree Required, BSN or MSN preferred

Updated First Aid/CPR certifications required

2-3 years working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred
