Beacon Hill Legal's client, a premier insurance company in Downtown Manhattan is seeking a defense litigation paralegal. The candidate will be responsible for drafting discovery demands and responses as well as contacting the opposing counsel regarding stipulations. Administrative support which includes maintaining attorneys' calendars, scheduling and confirming depositions. Must have familiarity drafting and filing procedural motions within the NYS court system. Will be responsible for processing medical provider authorizations, downloading and updating medical records on file. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and strong research and writing ability.
