We are a small, collegial and busy civil litigation firm with three full-time attorneys handling mostly commercial and employment law disputes/litigation. We are searching for a full- or part-time junior attorney with strong academic credentials, an interest in litigation, and a desire to be a part of a fast-growing practice. The right candidate will have the opportunity to earn a six-figure salary, cultivate their own book of business over time, and be part of an ambitious, tight-knit team of litigators.
Requirements:
Admission to the New York State bar and Federal and Eastern Districts of New York. Candidates with no admission or admission pending in New York State will not be considered. Candidates with New York State admission but pending federal admissions may be considered.
Strong writing skills.
The ability to work independently and efficiently draft litigation documents to filing-ready form.
Confidence and self-motivation.
A desire to gain key litigation competencies for partner-level practice, such as arguing motions, taking depositions, independently handling negotiations with opposing counsel, and working directly with a diversity of clients.
Other valued credentials/experience:
Admission in other jurisdictions, particularly New Jersey.
Experience litigating employment law matters, business disputes, or debt enforcement/collection is a plus.
Experience in a high-volume or on your feetĀ litigation practice is a major plus, including work in public interest or as corporation counsel.
