Vanity Fair is seeking a highly motivated and exceptionally well-organized Editorial Assistant with a strong interest in online journalism and interactive media to provide administrative support for the digital director and the VF.com leadership team.
This position is based in New York City, but all staff members are currently working remotely.
Primary Responsibilities:
Handle administrative tasks including: managing schedules, booking meetings, filing expenses, and virtual office management.
Create and track invoices for digital assignments
Liaise with digital and print staff, as well as freelance contributors and outside parties, on behalf of the digital director and online editors.
Create content for internal presentations, the website, and the print magazine as opportunities arise
Provide support for special digital projects, including our V.F. Weekly newsletter and award season coverage
Requirements:
Experience working in a high-paced office environment, preferably a news website or magazine.
A strong interest in and knowledge of Vanity Fair.
Experience and diplomatic skills in communicating with editors, writers, publicists, and prominent personalities.
A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
A high degree of organization and professionalism.
The ability to multitask under pressure, manage time effectively, learn quickly, and handle multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with G Suite, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
