The Role:

Creative Spirit US is seeking a demonstrated go-getter to fill the role of Administrative Assistant. This is a chance to make a difference every day at a unique, early-stage non-profit as we change the face of employment.

The Administrative Assistant is a temporary role (20 hours per week) and will report to the Co-founder and President, Creative Spirit. Person will also support the Director, Candidate Recruitment and Services.

Responsibilities:

Support the President and board members with follow up items, schedules and upcoming events.

Develop format for weekly update with priorities, issues and risks

Act as point person for Director of Candidate Recruitment and Services to schedule appointments and follow ups, as well as documenting notes

Create system for tracking meetings with employers and supporters, including inputting notes on meetings and next steps for circulation with board

Attend key events with Creative Spirit team

Basic phone and email correspondence and meeting arrangements activities

Required Skills:

3+ years work experience required. Those experience working or volunteering in organizations dedicated to workplace diversity a plus!

Experience managing social media for a public-facing brand (Primary initial channels: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Organic Search)

Strong written and verbal communication skills required as you will work across various audiences: board members, corporations, candidates with IDDs

Demonstrated ability to be empathic and flexible. Scheduling meetings with families or candidates requires kindness and authenticity

Highly organized with thorough attention to detail.

Experience using MS Office with bonus if experience using other creative or project management software

Collaboration and ability to create positive relationships among a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders

Must be based in NYC; Event coordination and planning a plus!
