Growing firm seeks a compliance assistant. The position is full-time (35 hours per week), Mon to Fri, and is hybrid work (4 days a week you will work from home, one day a week you will work in our office in Brooklyn, NY).
Responsibilities: Manage multiple project reporting deadlines. Complete compliance report using client-provided financial and other data. Submit reports to government agencies and clients as required.
Requirements: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Communicate with the compliance manager, the client, and individual contractors, as needed. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Good writing skills. Ability to work from home 4 days per week and possess your own computer. Computer MUST have Microsoft Windows because of software that does not run on MacOS. Ability to work from our office one day every 2 weeks (the office has computer workstations). Payroll auditing or bookkeeping experience is a major plus.
Note that you may be asked to demonstrate your knowledge of intermediate-level Excel and provide a basic writing sample after your 2nd interview.
