What we’re looking for:

Domain is looking to hire a highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized Compliance Associate to support our entire portfolio operating out of our Manhattan office. This individual must be able to work both independently and in collaboration with Domain’s corporate and property management staff. We’re looking for someone to support our initiatives as we launch new projects, maintain the integrity of our team, and provide professionalism when interacting with our team members and business partners.

Responsibilities:

Conduct initial certifications, annual re-certifications, rent increases, utility allowances, in accordance with the LIHTC and HUD guidelines.

Ensure adherence to the Affirmative Fair Housing Law regarding the marketing plan and resident selection.

Work with the affordable housing eligibility auditors to report on audit findings and support process improvement to ensure quality

Produce and submit high quality annual audit packages required by third party agencies, investors, and syndicators.

Draft and Prepare rent stabilized Vacancy and Lease Renewal Packages and all appropriate riders.

Data entry in our internal software Yardi. Updating rents and lease terms.

Updating Yardi software when there is a rent change in tenant or subsidy portion.

Maintain and prepare all tenant files for review, audit and inspection by project program supervisory auditors and inspectors.

Operates the property management software (Yardi/Site Manager/Right Source) and completes transactions by entering all required fields correctly and by completing updates and back-ups to ensure the integrity of the system.

Promote resident and applicant satisfaction by responding to complaints, questions and requests in a timely manner, and taking appropriate action to resolve and address compliance related issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree Preferred

5+ years of experience with LIHTC leasing/recertification compliance preferred

3+ years of experience managing projects and procedures with a high level of complexity and detail

Experience in Yardi Voyager, Site Manager, and Right Source a plus, Monday.com, Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, and Intermediate Excel skills required

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong organization, planning, and implementation skills

Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze data, leverage technology, recognize trends, and drive strategic recommendations

Physical Demands:

This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.

May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.

Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

Work Hour Requirements:

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on needs of the property as well as the company needs.
