Job Description:

Our investment banking client is looking to fill a Desktop Trading Support Associate level Full Time role. This is a fast-paced team environment supporting Trading floor, Middle, and Back Office users.

The candidate will have ample opportunity for cross training and technical growth. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious self-starter that takes the initiative.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE:
  • The position will be primarily located in the client's mid-town New York City office and may require some time in their White Plains office. Must be able to go into office on a rotation schedule.
  • All candidates must be able to work without visa transfer.


THE DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • As first level support, the candidate is responsible for fielding and resolving user inquiries.
  • Will answer, resolve, and document issues by phone, email, or during a desk side visit.
  • Ability to identify and organize problem tickets with priority, and route to the appropriate staff.
  • It is required you have knowledge of knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), desktops, printers, laptops, mobile devices.
  • Creating/maintaining documentation and FAQs.
  • Follow established guidelines, identify and resolve problems.
  • Ability to work independently, although can refer more complex issues to other experts as needed.
  • Contribute to workflow or process change and redesign, and to form a strong basic understanding of the specific products or processes.
  • May also be accountable for regular reporting or process administration.


User Support Responsibilities:
  • Identify and resolve support issues
  • Desk side support for applications
  • Log and track all user requests using the Ticketing Database
  • On board new hires and train, process user termination requests
  • Setup/deploy new workstations: Operating System and Application installations, configuration and testing
  • Provide early (7am) or Late coverage (7pm)


THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB:
  • 5+ years in a User Support, Systems Support, or Systems Administration role.
  • Trading Floor experience
  • Experience in a User Support, Systems Support, or Systems Administration role.
  • Thorough familiarity with Windows, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience installing software, patches, and updates on workstations and laptops.
  • Troubleshooting/replacing hardware along with basic network, software, and printing problems.
  • Manage users/computers through Active Directory and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manger (SCCM).
  • Candidate should possess a strong knowledge of networking, and an understanding of Windows registry, User Administration, NTFS security, performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Ability to recognize and remediate issues within the internal infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Windows server platforms a plus.
  • Experience with Market Data Applications (Bloomberg, Refinitiv / Reuters).
  • Remote Access setup and troubleshooting via Citrix.
  • High sense of urgency as a Trading Floor environment needs to be supported.
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong ability to deliver on time.
