As a security guard you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and order in various settings of the establishment. Uniforms will be provided along with electronic communication devices.
JOB SUMMARY & DESCRIPTION:
You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, personnel, and property. This involves monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and enforcing security policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PATROL DUTIES:
Regularly patrol assigned areas to deter and detect any suspicious or unauthorized activities. This may involve walking or driving through designated routes.
SURVEILLANCE MONITORING:
Observe surveillance cameras and other security equipment to identify potential security threats or breaches.
INCIDENT RESPONCE:
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or any incidents. Assess situations, take appropriate actions, and report findings to the relevant authorities or management.
ACCESS CONTROL:
Monitor and control access points to ensure that only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry. Check identification and verify credentials as needed.
REPORT WRITING:
Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in detailed reports. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of any unusual occurrences or security breaches.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Provide assistance and information to employees, visitors, and clients. Maintain a professional demeanor and address any concerns or inquiries respectfully.
ENFORCE POLICIES:
Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and regulations related to security and safety.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES:
Be trained and prepared to respond to various emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or natural disasters.
COLLABORATION:
Work closely with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other security personnel to ensure a coordinated approach to security and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification may be required.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not always required.
SKILLS:
Strong observational and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
Proficiency in using security systems and technology.
Good physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, or drive for extended periods.
Licenses/Certifications: Depending on the location, a security guard license or certification may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
