IT POS Technician One of our clients in NYC is currently seeking a talented and experienced IT Point of Sales Technician to join its Event Systems team! This position will play a key role in supporting the daily operations and configuration of the attractions’ ticketing system. The IT Technician will be responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of hardware and software components to ensure a smooth operation. The successful candidates will work with staff and vendors to identify issues and be responsible for upgrades and implementations. Meet with stakeholders to identify business requirements and strategies around new feature requests and enhancements
Application of information technology best practices to determine hardware, software and system architecture
Document, analyze, test and/or modify computer systems and programs based on and related to user or system design specifications
Flexibility and comfort in being on-call in case of emergency and working nights/weekends when necessary (e.g. maintenance, upgrades, outages)
Work with the Event Technology team to provide technical (i.e. hardware/software) solutions
Preparing, configuring and deploying computers and peripherals for staff
Provide a high level of customer service while supporting the attraction and staff in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrates support for and ensures compliance with PCI policies and procedures
Identifies risks in department functions and processes and establishes appropriate controls to mitigate risk
Communicate with end users and local support teams to ensure reliability and functionality of systems and programs
Leads or oversees documenting and updating technology-related instructions/procedures as required
Maintains and updates IT asset inventory
Qualifications:
Experienced in Point-of-Sale environments. Using Galaxy Ticketing Systems is a plus
Excellent ability to motivate, influence and work through others to accomplish tasks
Advanced technical troubleshooting and customer services skills
Highly proficient with the installation of computer hardware and software
Ability to work independently as well as delegating and managing a team
Experience with Microsoft patching
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be organized and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
