Responsibilities: 1) Technical support for local code officials around compliance and enforcement 2) Support for the scale up of the Community Compliance Support pilot, along with possible expansion due to DOE FOA funding3) Support statewide energy code training by reviewing proposed training curricula and resources and working with contractors to ensure maximum usability and impact4) Support the adoption and implementation of a statewide advanced energy code and updates to the Uniform Codes that support decarbonization5 )Manage external project teams to perform contracted work to support the pilot implementation and scaling.6 )Assist with developing mini-bids or new program solicitations.7) Participate in scoring committees and other elements of the award selection process.8) Negotiate statements of work, schedules, and budgets during the contracting process.9) Collaborate with clients Contracting and Legal teams to develop final contracts.10) Model diligent attention to client's processes and champion process improvements.
This position requires familiarity with building codes, site inspections, and plan reviews, as well as interest is policy, regulation, and community affairs.
A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills, proven ability in project management, successful experience working with stakeholders and code practitioners, advanced knowledge of building science, and ability to develop and manage complex projects and stakeholder engagements.
Awareness of the complex social, political, and environmental issues at play in the state. An ability to work both independently and on teams, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders is needed.
In addition, the candidate should exhibit the following:
Ten or more years of relevant experience in building science, code enforcement, building inspections and compliance, project management, or another related field.

Demonstrated problem-solving ability; resourcefulness, adaptability, and an instinct for surfacing value and pragmatic solutions.

Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
