DUR: 12 Months ( 1920 hrs, 160 hrs a month Fixed Fee)

Must have Skills: Cisco MDS Switches, Data Migration, PowerMax, VMAX, XtremIO, Knowledge of Data Center Operations with respect to SAN/NAS Infrastructure

Project Tasks:

Providing technical leadership and the maintenance of the technical architectural design, strategies, and plans that will be delivered on an ongoing basis.

• Plan, Design, Installation, Configuration, and Administration of Powermax, VMAX, XtremIO Storage, and Cisco MDS Switches.
• Work on SAN/NAS storage requests and provision storage as required , troubleshoot performance issues , improve monitoring capabilities, and support the storage team . The supported infrastructure includes storage frames Powermax, VMAX, XtremIO Storage, and Cisco MDS Switches.
• Cisco MDS switch port migrations, retirement and decommissioning.
• Plan and Conduct Block Migration using Dell EMC Tools.
• Designed and Implement disaster recovery Solutions for using SRDF between Two Datacenters.
• Ongoing performance alerting and analysis of PowerMax, VMAX, and Cisco SAN infrastructure.
• Consolidate multiple SAN environments into a single infrastructure by migrating older EMC Arrays, hosts, and Cisco Switches.
• Ongoing management of configuration and layout of the storage infrastructure.
• Performing necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with EMC and Customer change management policies.
• Troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling, including initial installation testing as well as connectivity issues with previously deployed copper or fiber cabling
• Once residency services are started, the resident will need to work with other residents to learn the NAS environment basics to help cover / assist when needed
• Share best practice methodologies throughout the residency assignment Resident will be self-directed, able to accomplish tasks with little to no direction
  

IMPORTANT - Resident must provide proof of COVID 19 vaccination
100% onsite required for this assignment.
Also note this resident assignment has been renewed annually for the past 6 years.

In addition to the Dell background check, the selected candidate will need to complete a background check with the customer which includes fingerprinting before they can start.

Business Hours = Monday - Friday normal business hours EST.
However, the resident will be responsible for production support (24/7). Dell covers all of our customer environment and if there are any issues after hours or over the weekend, our customer will call the resident for assistance. The resident needs to understand and agree to this coverage.
