You will be joining a team of 5 (and growing) who are responsible for the architecture and design as well as the implementation and deployment. This is very much a hands on role and not solely an architect position, so it’s important you can do the implementation too.
Automation plays a big part in the client’s culture and this team, so you must do design work with automation. You do not need to code but be comfortable with automation frameworks and running tooling.
You will closely with the SRE team on projects and they look after the operational side leaving you to focus on the architecture, design and implementation.
My client has around 1,600 employees globally and they would love someone from a similar size firm, or from the Fintech and healthcare sectors, however, this isn’t essential and more a nice to have.
They are looking for a Network Engineer who has experience driving networking projects forward, has an automation forward approach and can work in a technology environment that is diverse and not aligned to one vendor or product (Cisco, Palo Alto etc). Experience migrating to a new DC and office would be beneficial.
This really is a role for someone who loves networking and solving complex problems.
