The Crater Club in Essex,NY (www.craterclub.org) is seeking 2 Camp Counselors to run its summer Youth Group program. The community of summer homes is located in Essex,NY on Lake Champlain. The program is a fun-filled, adventure oriented program geared towards children 5-12 years of age. We practice the "Simple Life" of outdoor activities.
Program runs for 5-6 weeks beginning July 2. Meets daily (M - F) 9 am -noon, lifeguarding responsibilities from 1-4 pm as well as two early evening activities per week.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute various crafts, games and sports activities
Ability to coordinate activities for age range of 5-12 years of age
Organize and lead 2 early evening activities per week
Plan and coordinate a weekly hike
Lifeguard, administer swim tests and emphasize a safe swimming environment
Communicate weekly activities to parents
Requirements
Prior experience working with children especially in a group setting
Current Red Cross Lifeguard certification
Minimum one year of college
Compensation
$12-15 per hour
