Lake Champlain Ferries is looking for a motivated, organized and friendly individual to fulfill the role of Dock Attendant at our Grand Isle, VT dock. The Dock Attendant is responsible for organizing vehicle traffic while maintaining a high standard of safety.
Job Duties:
Screen vehicles according to company procedure
Keep vehicles organized on dock in proper
Pre-Collect tickets and Pre-Screen vehicles to assist boat crews
Follow instructions from boat crews for loading preferences
Clear any trash on dock, assist with snow removal in winter and police parking area
Other related duties will be required, as needed, to ensure the operation runs smoothly
This position is full-time year round, shift times vary (7:00am-6:00pm, 11:00am-7:00pm, and 9:00am-5:30pm). Eligible for Medical/Dental Insurance, 401(k) Plan, Vacation/Holiday/Sick time after completing introductory period.
Qualifications:
Outgoing person willing to serve the public in a safe and courteous manner. Must have good organization and communicational skills. Must have the ability to work flexible hours and shifts that include weekends and evenings.
