Lake Champlain Ferries is looking for a friendly, hard-working individual to join our crew at the Grand Isle, VT - Plattsburgh, NY crossing. The deckhand is responsible for directing as they embark or disembark the ferry and collects boarding passed while maintaining a high standard of safety. Other duties include: completing traffic report for each trip, patrolling vessel for any safety concerns, performing routine cleaning/maintenance, providing travel information to passengers as needed and performing Coast Guard drills for potential emergency situations.
The spare deckhand position works various hours as needed.
