North Country Radio is growing so fast, we need your help to handle all the business! We have an IMMEDIATE ENTRY LEVEL OPENING FOR A PART TIME MARKETING REPRESENTATIVE! (This position could become full time for the right person!)
The successful candidate MUST live and be familiar with the business cycles in the Tri-Lakes area of Northern N.Y. (Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake and the surrounding communities). A background and familiarity in marketing is extremely important for you to be successful in this position. Responsibilities will include advertising sales and copy writing. Weekly hours are very flexible.
Creativity is the most important quality you need to be successful in this position! You should also be outgoing, self-motivated, enthusiastic, organized and have a genuine interest in helping local businesses grow through marketing on our stations.
The schedule is Monday-Friday (approximately 20 hours/week) with rare weekend or evening work as needed. Reliable transportation is required. A college degree is preferred, but a high school diploma is required. Some business to business sales experience is very important! Please note that retail and/or hospitality experience does not necessarily qualify as business to business sales experience. Experience in radio is not necessary. We will provide you with all the tools you need to be successful in this position.
