BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES INCLUDING LEVEL OF SUPERVISION REQUIRED:
ï® Support the classroom teacher with instruction to students, as directed by the teacher.
ï® Assist in keeping accurate records of student progress.
ï® Assist in care of students at meals, snack, nap, bus time, and field trips.
ï® Participate in pre-service and ongoing staff development activities to increase instructional effectiveness.
ï® Perform other duties as designated by the Principal.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
ï® Experience tutoring or teacher aide training
ï® Experience working with culturally diverse populations
ï® Post-secondary education
ï® Excellent oral and written communication
Preferred Qualifications:
ï® Experience working with disadvantaged or minority group children
ï® Ability to handle children in group situations
ï® Bilingual (Spanish-English)
